Founded in 1969, El Centro has a long and successful history of working with and for students at the University of New Mexico.
We offer many culture-specific programs and educate the campus community on the diverse issues that affect Raza students attending or wishing to attend UNM.

In partnership with the UNM Service Corps, an internship program was created to promote civic engagement and community building within UNM and local communities. We also offer a mentoring program to UNM students, which provides academic, social and cultural support. This program is highly recommended for incoming freshmen and transfer students and is a great way to get connected with UNM and make new friends.
