Healthy mind, healthy spirit, healthy Lobos!

Partnered with the Accessibility Resource Center, El Centro de la Raza, and the Women’s Resource Center, the Mental Health Collaborative (MHC) aims to increase students’ access to mental health resources through free, trauma-responsive, culturally, and linguistically informed counseling services. Our mission is to provide safe and inclusive mental health care to all, regardless of gender identity, sex, race, ability status, age, sexual orientation, economic class, or religious affiliation.

Our program also supports master's-level counseling interns with professional development and supervision centered on multicultural competence and social justice advocacy. We are committed to investing in UNM’s graduate students, with the vision of shaping future mental health providers who are prepared to address the pervasive impacts of racial trauma, gender violence, and social injustice – driving the positive societal change needed within the Albuquerque community and beyond.
