¡Hola a todos! My name is Miahuatl Garcia Domingo and I am a Student Success Leader at El Centro de la Raza. I am a freshman student pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering. I enjoy drawing, painting and photographing. I am from a multilingual family. My dad is Pueblo Indian and Chicano and speaks English, Spanish, Nahuatl, and Piro. My mother is from Mexico of the Indigenous Nahua community, her mother tongue is Nahuatl, and she learned Spanish when she started school in her village and has been learning English since she came to the United States 19 years ago.

Buenas! Mi nombre es Joel Azael Reyes, and I am a Student Success Leader at El Centro. I was born and raised in Farmington, New Mexico, where I studied engineering for two years and earned my Associate of Science in Engineering. I enjoy spending time with friends, listening to my favorite artists, and staying active by playing soccer. I first discovered El Centro as a sophomore in high school, and the connections and relationships I've built here have greatly supported my academic journey at UNM. I hope we can be just as helpful to you!

Hola, mi nombre es Wendy! I was born in California but grew up in Los Lunas, NM. I am currently a 3rd year student and am majoring in Business Administration with my concentration in Accounting. Fun fact about me is I want to open my own accounting firm to help those in my community with their taxes because I want them to feel comfortable entrusting someone from within our Raza to handle their financial matters. I look forward to seeing you all at El Centro!

¡Hola! My name is Karely Lozano, and I am thrilled to be a part of El Centro de la Raza at the University of New Mexico. I am originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, and I am happy to now call Albuquerque, New Mexico, my home. I am studying Elementary Education with a minor in Language Arts in hopes of becoming a Kindergarten teacher in the near future. One thing I absolutely love is to explore new baking recipes in my free time. Looking forward to contributing and connecting with you!

Hola, me llamo Ashly. I was born in Sonsonate, El Salvador but grew up in Santa Fe, NM. I am currently a sophomore; I’m majoring in Biochemistry and Spanish. My goal is to go to medical school to become a Pediatric Oncologist and help my community. ¡Espero verlos pronto en El Centro!

Hello! My name is Sebastian Romero and I was born in El Paso, Texas but raised in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. I am currently finishing my Biology degree & applying for veterinary school. I am a huge dog person! I look forward to meeting everyone!

Hola! My name is Fernando Morales; I was born in Tucson, Arizona, and raised in Taos, New Mexico. Starting my journey with CEP opened the doors for me to connect with El Centro, where I found a welcoming community that made me feel right at home. I'm currently studying Nursing, though I'm considering a switch to Medical Laboratory Sciences. I also play bass in a Norteño Mexican band and have been performing for over five years. I'm excited to work for El Centro and continue personally and professionally growing within this incredible community!

Hello everyone , my name is Rosa Loya but everyone calls me Emma because of my middle name. I am a first year and I plan to major in Biology . I was born in Parral Chihuahua Mexico and came to New Mexico last year . I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, I love to spend time outside in the nature, I love meeting new people, I hope to see you guys at El Centro de la Raza!

Hello, my name is Omar Ornelas I am studying computer science. I was born and raised here in Albuquerque NM however my family is from Chihuahua Mexico. My favorite things to do are, hang out with my friends, rock climb and watch movies / TV. El Centro has been a great resource to me and many more students so I hope students continue to can take advantage of the oppertunities offered and know that you belong here.

Hola! Mi nombre es Julián Ángel! I am from the chile Captial of the World, Hatch New México! I chose UNM because I wanted an experience beyond rural Hatch Valley. At UNM I was able to expand my knowledge of New Mexico and explore my interests in a new environment. UNM gave me the opportunity to grow as an individual and scholar. My best experience at UNM has been getting involved with multiple student organizations and getting to have a home away from home with El Centro de La Raza. I am very honored to work with Raza students. The advice I offer new students would be to get involved, speak up for what is right, and never settle for less.

Hello, my name is Jazmín. I'm a freshman at UNM and as of right now, I haven't declared a major. I grew up in Santa Fe, NM, but my family is from Aguascalientes Mexico. Rainy weather is my favorite and I enjoy reading books I can get fully invested in. I'm excited to be working at El Centro as a student!

Hello! My name is Aneth Rubio i'm a freshman here at UNM. I'm form Sunland Park, New Mexico and I am planning on majoring in Psychology with a minor in Criminology ! Some of my interests include watching documentaries and my hobbies are reading romance and listening to music. I'm very excited to work here at El Centro and to meet everyone!

Hello! My name is Anthony McCabe and I am a senior majoring in Applied Mathematics. I grew up in a small town of Kirtland, NM and moved here to attend UNM. My hobbies include attending concerts and strumming my guitar. I am mainly the IT Tech for El Centro, but you'll probably see me around trying to fix something. Technology is a large part of Earth now and I hope to create contributions to the world of STEM to propel what our little planet has done. I am happy to be a part of El Centro and what they stand for. El Centro provides amazing support for everyone that I hope ya'll enjoy!
