Purpose

To introduce students to Mexican Indigenous culture and sacred sites and gain cultural competence and insights about the connection between Mexico and the U.S. Southwest.

Objectives

• To learn about the stories, places, and people located in the Aztlan - Tenochtitlan - Xochitepetl route.
• To revisit ancient myths and contemporary stories associated to the indigenous peoples of Mexico.
• To connect the history and culture of Central Mexico to the US Southwest.
