Hola a todos! I was born in Chihuahua, Mexico but raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During my time as an undergraduate at UNM, El Centro de la Raza became my second home; a place that valued my lived experience and intersectionality. The staff and its members became more than just mentors or friends, they became my family. I attribute much of my undergraduate and professional success to El Centro for supporting me through the many obstacles I encountered as an undocumented student. Through this adversity, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics & Spanish as well as my passion for higher education and expanding access to Raza students and families. Dani
