Completed applications submitted after this deadline will be considered, but preference will be given to qualified applicants who have met the deadline. Please see below.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Required With Your Application
1) Personal Statement (with a Maximum of 1000 Words) you must address all of the following.
a) Background
b) Your or your family’s rural experience
c) State your goals (educational and/or career goals)
d) Obstacle(s) overcome
e) How will this scholarship help you with your educational goals?
2) Reference Page
Please upload a refrence page that includes two (2) non-family refrences.
a) Preferred references include teachers, community members, mentors, advisors, coaches, supervisors, or other individuals who can speak to your character, academic potential, work ethic, or leadership.
b) References must not be family members, friends, significant others, or anyone with whom you have a personal relationship that would create a conflict of interest.
c) For each reference, please include:
- Full name
- Title/relationship to you
- Orginaization or school (if applicable)
- Phone number
- Email address
3) UNM Financial Aid Award Overview
To find the award overview follow the steps:
a) Login to my.unm.edu and select "Lobo Web".
b) On the top left hand corner of the screen select the "Financial Aid" tab.
c) From the Financial Aid Menu, "Select Award Info Menu"
d) From the Award Info Menu, Select "Award Package for Aid Year"
e) Select Aid Year
f) Under Award Package –Current Year, Select the "Award Overview" Tab
4) Class Schedule
To find your class schedule follow the steps:
a) Login to my.unm.edu and select LoboWeb.
b) Click on "Registration & Records"
c) Under the red "Student Schedule" bar, select "Concise Student Schedule"
d) Select the term from the drop-down menu
