Born and raised in Southern California, Marvin moved around the region with his family before traveling across the country to attend the University of Virgina where he concurrently completed his BA in Spanish Literature and Culture and his Master's in Foreign Language Education. A strong proponent of accessible and student-centered education, Marvin’s career experience in education spans from tutoring, classroom teaching, leadership of non-profit programming, and management at the New Mexico Public Education Department. Now serving as the Instructor for the High School Equivalency Program (HEP), Marvin supports migratory agricultural workers in completing their high school education and making the transition into new careers and furthering their educational goals.
