Ivette is a fourth-year doctoral student in UNM’s Counselor Education program. She is a bilingual and bicultural counselor and supervisor. Ivette specializes in complex trauma, migration trauma, attachment repair and reunification, cultural and race-based trauma, bilingual counseling development and supervision, and anti-oppressive practices. Ivette supervises MHC’s counseling team and is passionate about integrating creativity, play, somatic psychology, and natural healing practices to provide holistic therapeutic experiences that rupture cycles of intergenerational, community, and social-political trauma.
