Edber E. Dzidz Yam

Edber (Edy) is a speaker of Maya from Tuzik, Quintana Roo, Mexico, and a first-generation student. Edy studied for his B.A. at UIMQRoo and his M.A. at CIESAS. His academic interests are linguistic anthropology, children's language, and applied research. Edy is genuinely interested in promoting vernacular Maya language and local practices to inform educational/pedagogical settings and curricula, leave the box of discourse, and strengthen social justice.
